Paint is the finish line of every remodel and the fastest refresh a home can get — but the result depends on the preparation underneath. Beaver Home Remodeling provides interior and exterior painting for homeowners in Clinton and nearby Central Massachusetts towns.
Interior Painting
Walls, ceilings, trim, doors and cabinets. Interior painting with us starts with the unglamorous work: filling nail holes, caulking gaps, sanding glossy surfaces, priming stains and repairing drywall or plaster as needed. Furniture and floors are covered, edges are cut cleanly by hand, and we use quality paints that level well and stand up to washing.
Exterior Painting
New England exteriors fail at the details — south-facing trim that bakes, window sills that hold water, clapboard ends that wick moisture. Exterior painting here means scraping and sanding failed coatings, spot-priming bare wood, replacing rotted trim before it is painted over (see exterior carpentry), caulking joints and applying coatings rated for our freeze-thaw cycles, in the right weather window.
Lead-Safe Practices
Homes built before 1978 — common throughout the Clinton area — may contain lead paint. Work that disturbs painted surfaces in these homes is done following EPA lead-safe work practices, with proper containment and cleanup.
Painting FAQs
When is exterior painting season in Massachusetts?
Roughly May through October, depending on temperatures and humidity. Modern coatings extend the season somewhat, but good results need dry surfaces and suitable temperatures day and night.
Do you paint kitchen cabinets?
Yes. Cabinet painting done properly — degreasing, sanding, bonding primer and durable enamel — is a cost-effective alternative to replacement when the boxes are sound.
