Before Anyone Swings a Hammer
- Estimate and planning: one to two weeks for the visit, written estimate and decisions.
- Material lead times: the real schedule-setter. In-stock tile and vanities are immediate; special-order vanities, custom glass and some fixtures run weeks. We do not start demolition until the critical materials are in hand — a project should never sit open waiting for a vanity.
- Permits: typically days in the towns around Clinton, handled in parallel with material orders.
Construction, Week by Week
Days 1–3: demolition and discovery. Old fixtures, tile and flooring come out. This is when the subfloor and framing tell the truth — minor water damage found here adds a day or two; significant damage adds more, and you will see it and approve the fix before we continue.
Days 3–7: rough work. Licensed plumbing and electrical rough-in, framing changes, and the rough inspection. Subfloor repairs and backer board go in.
